For any questions or concerns, the Northern Academy administration is available during school hours by appointment to answer your questions or discuss your concerns.

The following documents with original signatures must be in our possession in order to register for classes:

1. Tuition Agreement
  1. The Tuition Agreement, issued by the Tuition Office, will be sent to parents via email by the Admissions Office. The Tuition Agreement must be signed by the parent(s)/legal guardian(s).
  2. Tuition & Fees Policy: The policy includes the Tuition and Fee Schedule as well as the Payment Schedule. Please use this as your reference throughout the year.
  3. International Tuition & Fees Policy: The policy includes the Tuition and Fee policies for international parents. Please use this as your reference throughout the year.
2. Proof of legal parental status and student identity
  • A copy of the student’s birth certificate that includes the parents’ names

OR

  • A copy of custody/guardianship court order

OR

3. ENROLLMENT CONSENT & Required Documents
 
In the Enrollment Consent & Required Documents Form, you will need to upload the following required documents:
  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Insurance Card
    1. All boarding students are required to have a valid health insurance in the US. If your insurance is not accepted by NMC, or if you do not have health insurance, you will be automatically enrolled in the $297 NMC health package. 
  3. Immunization Record
    1. Compare NYS vaccination requirements to your child’s vaccination records. (NYS vaccination requirements can be found in the acceptance email and here)
  4. Northern Medical Center (NMC) Consent Form

This form also contains detailed information to various school policies such as:

  • Pick Up/Visit Permission
  • Textbook Contract

Our school nurse will start processing your upload health document once you’ve completed both the Tuition Agreement form and the Enrollment Consent & Required Documents form.

You will receive your child’s Official Enrollment email once the uploaded health documents have been cleared by our nurse.

The Official Enrollment email contains vital information, including the link to purchase your child’s school uniform, your child’s enrollment date, boarding details, and more.

 

NEW STUDENTS ONLY:

We kindly request a recent headshot photo of your child for their student ID.

Here are the photo requirements:

  • Size: Passport photo size (2×2 inches or 35×45 millimeters)
  • Attire: White collared shirt with a dark blue or black tie
  • Background: Plain white

We’ve included some examples below for your reference.

School policy requires each student to complete a health examination (completed after August 19, 2023) and to provide health insurance information. The State of New York requires that each student have up to date immunization records. See below for the list of required health documents.

Parents of boarding students will need to prepare the following:

    • Birth Certificate
    • A valid health insurance card OR buy the Northern Medical Center (NMC) Health Package
    • Physical Examination Form (completed after August 19, 2023)
    • Immunization Records
    • Signed Northern Medical Center (NMC) Consent Form

Parents of non-boarding students will need to prepare the following:

    • Birth Certificate
    • Physical Examination Form (completed after August 19, 2023)
    • Immunization Records
    • Signed Northern Medical Center (NMC) Consent Form

To waive the NMC health package, parents must either present a valid health insurance accepted by NMC or provide documentation of their existing NMC health package, including remaining visit allowances.

Day students

Day students are students who are living with their parents.

Boarding Students

Under the legal doctrine of in loco parentis, the school automatically takes parental responsibility for these students. Boarding students will maintain residence in the on-campus dormitories.

Homestay Students

Day or homestay students may select and buy meal plans via this link. For adding on or dropping off a meal plan after the enrollment, please contact logistics@northernacademy.org
